has anyone took their Lido in a carry on? Just wondering if the TSA would like to mess with you over it
I work in the airline industry and TSA "shouldn't" have a problem as long as no liquids or sharp objects. I have even lugged my Pharos along and always bring a portable bodum hot water heater and so far no problems. If I had to explain my coffee gear I would just say that it is so That I am not forced to drink Starbucks or airplane coffee(don't know which is worse). I often use the airplane hot water for my aeropress which works our nicely. If in need of filtered water many hotel fitness centers have access to filtered water. I also carry a portable brita  filter.

You use the Aeropress on the plane?  I bet that gets some looks. :)

:)  Brewing inflight would get some laughs. I usually brew between flights in the cockpit or galley before passengers board.

I to travel with an aeropress, body me hot water pitcher and Hario grinder. I always thought making my own coffee on the plane would be cool, but  I did read somewhere that using an aeropress on a flight is prohibited.   American Airlines I think.
