Extra Trays
« on: May 16, 2016, 09:53:49 AM »
I'm very pleased with the Huky on initial use.

I do think the trays are a bit flimsy.  I wouldn't be surprised if eventually I break the wire in one, judging from other similar things.

I'd encourage people to get a spare, ie 3 total with the T system, based on that.

Or has anyone found a source for them in the US?

You are right, and the tray is not the most expensive piece.

But in my case, with the T model, second tray/fan/funnel, center 301, second motor and second drum and spare thermocouples, the box was full full. A third tray could'nt have fit in it !!

I don't know about the US, but it is called a "drum sieve", a quick google shows they should be widely available. I believe the one included is ~20cm (8") diameter.

Depending where you live I have seen the trays in Asian supermarkets in the US.

great, thanks, I'll look in those.  And appreciate drum sieve.  I'd prefer not to rely on shipments from taiwan.
