Hello from Northwest Indiana
« on: June 24, 2016, 07:08:32 PM »
Hello from Northwest Indiana.  My 500t is currently being inspected by customs at Chicago O'Hare.  I have been roasting for a little over 4 years.  I started on an air popcorn maker.  After burning through 3 of them in 6 months I decided to move up to the Fresh roast 500 which I still use today.

I was recently introduced to the Huky as well as to the book "Modulating the flavor profile of coffee" by my local roasting company.  After reading the book and watching the the Huky videos I now understand why an occasional batch from the Fresh roast would rock, but most of them were poor or mediocre.

I am really looking forward to learning a lot and gaining more roasting experience on the Huky.  A quick thank you for this fantastic forum - You have already answered so many questions and I don't even have the Huky yet!

Think you will be pleasantly surprised being able to roast 500g successfully, although there is much more flexibility reducing charge weights. Impressive for a light weight machine.
