Just Got It!
« on: August 19, 2016, 10:07:50 AM »
Hey Guys,

I just received my Huky 500T from Mr. Li and thought I would introduce myself.  I've been roasting for about 6 months now, started on a Behmor that I was given as a gift by the wife.  Started roasting for myself and then started to really dig my coffee and offered it to friends, now I sell 20-30 lbs a month or so which is much too difficult on a Behmor so hence the upgrade!

I've been lurking on the forum for a few weeks but finally decided to say hello!  I'm located in the Chicagoland area so if any other Huky owners are out there, let me know and maybe we can share resources!  I'm stoked to be setting up my Huky and start roasting, once I have my setup going, I'll post pictures of my setup and work space.

Thanks everyone!  look forward to contributing!

Dan

Welcome!
You'll find plenty of information in this forum to get you started, else I recon you will post your questions. :)
This forum have made it so very much easier to get started with decent results after just a few roasts, as compared to just some 18-20 months ago, when I got my Huky... Just search for what you want info on and browse through the different posts...
Now, dare I roast even lighter?

Yes welcome!  After getting my Huky set up (Huky, Artisan, Phidget and laptop) I found the roasting process making a lot more sense than my Behmor ever did.  I mean there's always something you probably should have done but I've never had a bad roast from my Huky.

You're gonna love it!
