Huky 500: Metric or ...er...Imperial?
« on: October 24, 2016, 02:08:50 PM »
Will my DIN tools fit or do I have to buy an old BSA 500 tool kit to work on the roaster, fans, etc?-

OK, I.m metric by birth (litterary), but do whatever you feel comfortable with. If you go with Artisan graphs, they are color coded and there's a temp converter to the right (in the forum view) anyhow...
Now, dare I roast even lighter?

Okay, I think the OP was asking about hardware tools, not software tools  -- screw drivers, wrenches, etc., and I think all of the HUKY fittings are metric.

For sure it would be worth your while to get a good long screw driver of the correct metric if you are going to remove the shroud.  The screws tend to strip and the driver that comes with the HUKY really isn't up to the job.

If you need/want this as an excuse for an upgrade to your tool kit?  Sure....go for it  ;)

Great advice @SusanJoM on the screwdriver. I stripped out those screws on mine, scratched the shroud all up, and have to order a new one.
I have a better screwdriver now. :)

Oops...sorry if my message was cryptic!  But I got the reply I wished:  metric tools for working on the Huky, which suits be best.
