I've read these articles a few times and they make a very good foundation for learning how to manipulate a roast. Now, I cannot stop from comparing these articles to the Rob Hoos book, which very much deals with the same thing(s) but in an even more elaborate manner.
But this idea of a Roast and Learn is very good. I really liked the competition we had last winter and a R&L would be even more beneficial to many of us, as it's all about learning and improving roasting skills and sharing what we experience.
Now, dare I roast even lighter?

I am very intersed in this but have not read Rob's book yet (hopefully i'll get it next month), will I be missing too much theory? Also, I'm thinking I should buy a large enough batch of one bean, or would it really matter much if i used different beans from month to month?
