Phidget SBC3 Wireless Setup for Roastmaster Software
« on: December 01, 2016, 06:05:30 AM »
Received by Huky a few weeks ago and have used Artisan with my HotTop and now Huky.  However, I'm switching over to Rainfrog's Roastmaster app which works on the iPad.

Anyone else using this software with success?

I had success setting up iPad software with Phidget 1048 sensor setup plugged into my Macbook Air.  Then, my Macbook communicates wireless to the iPad so I can use the Roastmaster software.  The next level is to use a Phidget SBC3 with a wireless adapter.  The SBC3 has the 1048 sensor connected to it.  Then, I don't need a laptop.  But, I'm having trouble getting the wireless SBC3 to work.  I followed the instructions of first connecting the SBC3 with an Ethernet cable to setup one time.  I seemed to have setup the wireless, but once I pull out the Ethernet cable, the wireless part of the SBC3 stops working.  Anyone else try to setup and have success?

Well, solved my own problem.  One small step.  After connecting ethernet cable and setting up wireless, you have to hit the reset button the the SBC3.  Now, it works perfectly.

Well, I guess I don't know yet.  I'm still learning how to use Roastmaster so it's not fair to say I really like it better yet.  I will report back once I have had a chance to really use the software.
