New Maintenance document
« on: December 05, 2016, 08:41:13 AM »
Hi all!
I've compiled a document on how to dismantle and maintain the Huky. It's in the downloads section at the obvious sub-section.
Please comment either here or via a message.

B,

Great stuff.  Once I get the right tools, I will make videos of your maintenance procedures.

Björn, this is so helpful.  Really appreciate it and one question I have as I get started is should I use the grease now on any portion of Huky or save it for maintenance down the road?  I wasn't sure where I should be focusing on adding the grease from time to time either if you can steer me towards where you do?

The grease in that small syringe is intended for the bearings only. (The only other moving part is the motor and you don't want (or need) to dismantle or service that part.) If you received the roaster without any grease in the bearings, they should of course get some grease before you start roasting.
I deliberately didn't mention any numbers for various maintainance intervals, but I personally wait for at least 20-30 roasts before re-greasing (without ripping the roaster apart). Don't make this some kind of "rule" :), it's only my personal guideline.
