Wooden Collar on the exhaust is cracked
« on: April 14, 2017, 02:12:15 PM »
Hey all,
When I received my HUKY the adjustable wooden collar on the exhaust was cracked. I didn't really think much of it, bu as wood is likely to do, the crack is spreading and will likely soon render the collar unusable.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and how they have gone about replacing the part. I feel like there should be a reasonable way to rig something up.

Any idea on a replacement from Mr Li., or if ti would be under warranty ?

Thanks!

Did you tell Mr. Li when it first arrived cracked?
Have you told him about it since?

Seems to me if it arrived cracked he would replace it asap.

I would wait till it comes apart, then glue it back together.

Curious to hear what he has to say; mail it back for a repair?

No, and for no good reason. It didn't seem all that important at the time, and I didn't expect it to continue to crack (foolish, I know).

You haven't had it very long, and you say it was cracked when you got it, so I still think it would be perfectly reasonable to ask Mr. Li for a replacement.

Mine had a hairline crack when first received.  Sent Mr Li a pic and he replaced.  The second one later cracked and I paid him for a third without asking.

I've got a crack in mine too, not sure when it happened, might have come like that, but i've had it for a year now.
