Coffee getting too expensive?

Holy Wow I just paid $7 for a 6 oz Single Origin cappuccino (the one from Bolivia) from Intelligentsia in Pasadena! It wasn't mind blowing either so now I feel like I got ripped, that could have been a pound of greens right there.

The norm for a capp, in LA at least, has always been 8oz. When I was at Intelly in Chicago and at the same location in Pasadena back in January it was still 8oz, not sure when they changed sizes.

Sigh!

Dude find a fellow micro roaster to buy commercially from a local importer and to split a sack with (150# or 130# per sack generally). I got my very good Nicaraguan high grown for $2.09 a pound😁

The no name 3rd wave shops usually are behind, but they do follow suit. I guess I shouldn't be complaining, sprudge just came out with an article showing how much a starbucks latte is in different countries, Russia is paying $12 a cup!
