The hand crank espresso machine makes incredible shots.  Portaspresso Rossa HC-P with bottomless portafilter.  Portable and great if you don't want to wait for the big machine to warm up.

Wow those are all beautiful. My place is way too messy to post after seeing your roasting and espresso setups ;)

That's a halarious comment.  If you could only see the 180 view of my Huky photo.  I drywalled and painted a small corner of my horribly crowded, grubby garage for the new Huky.

I had to go through a lot of pictures to find one that was even slightly "neat" and "tidy", and this is as close as I could come

I like it.  Wood stove, hardwood floors, yellow countertop, looks like an architect or landscape architect is near.

Here's mine in my garage.

Nice setup.  Wanted to ask, what model variac do you have?  I've been trying to figure out which one to get.  I have the HarborFreight motor speed controler which works, but only will take the fan down to about 25%, no lower.

Thanks ... Aaron

I have this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Variac-Variable-Transformer-300va-Output/dp/B006NGI8VS

Thanks!  So the variac will take the fan down until it actually stops?

Yep.  Though you don't typically want to do that - motors cool themselves by spinning, so if you're running current to it, but not enough current to dissipate any heat, you risk smoking the motor.  The variac will let you take the fan down to very, very low, though, without stalling it.  Below that, and make sure it's turned off.

Huky in garage on cart.  Carts on wheels with propane tank upder some countertop I had hanging around.

What type of material is the cart top?

I'm interested in heat generation to the counter surface as I'm deciding what type of cart to get.  The one you have looks like a heavy duty plastic composite of some sort.... any heat issues from the ir stove or vent bowl/exhast?
