FOUND: Allen wrench screwdriver
« on: May 28, 2015, 10:23:14 PM »
**I got one from Mr. Li! Thanks to all who helped steer me in the right direction.**

Hello all!

I just noticed while going through my parts bags/boxes that I do not have the allen wrench/screw driver that Mr. Li supplies. I was just using my own allen wrench. I'd like to have one like Mr. Li supplies so my kit is complete if I ever need to sell it.

Does anyone have an extra allen wrench/screw driver that Mr. Li supplies? If so, would you be willing to sell it to me?

Also.....if you don't have one to sell, can you tell me please what the writing on the side of yours says? That may help me search online for one.

I'll contact Mr. Li about it if I can't get one here.

-Mike

I don't think it's an allen or a torx, but I don't know the name of the type of driver it is.
Here's a picture

That's it!!! That's it. Thank you for the pic.

Hmm, these are a bugger to find online. Maybe someone will see my post here and be willing to sell me theirs.

I highly doubt anyone would consider a screwdriver part of the roaster set.

SusanJoM, would you mind snapping a pic of the head?

Unfortunately my camera (or I) can't get in any closer than this.
I can try to get pictures if you still need them.

Edit:  Sorry, I just don't think I can get a better picture than that. :-[

Okay, and a Google search indicates that it's called a "ball tip hex screwdriver".

Happy hunting.

Thanks y'all. The only place I found that sells the Alstrong brand is in Taiwan. Lovely.

@murphroast...you're probably right, but I just want every piece/part so I can say it is the complete package.

Interesting. I hadn't heard of ball-tip. I guess it just makes it easier to tighten allens at an angle. Is this even necessary for anything on the Huky?

Not sure of the size, but they seem to be available outside of Taiwan. My impression is that it would be like saying you don't have the full Ikea furniture piece because you don't have the 5 cent allen wrench that came with it  ;D.

That said, if my Huky ships in the next few days like it's supposed to, I'll sell you mine.

That looks like a standard issue ball end allen driver.

By the way, it's a 2mm (M2) size allen.  The larger screws use a 2.5mm (M2.5) head.

I'm unpacking and starting to assemble my Huky.  Included is that ball tip hex screwdriver and a small Allen wrench.  What are these tools used for?

The tools are for installing the door and maintenance chores. Be careful tightening up the fasteners, that's why the tools are so small. My machine came used so I'm not sure how a new one is delivered.
