As of last night there is yet a new build of Artisan 0.9.8.
Marko posted this at H-B.

I uploaded build 6 of v0.9.8 for Mac and Windows Linux to follow as soon as I am back from the German roasting competition) that fixed this redraw issue triggered ad the time axis gets extended automatically.

In looking more carefully at his post and his lack of punctuation, I'm not sure whether the Windows version was or was not updated last night.  It looks like version 5 is still on the site.  So, maybe it was the MAC version last night and Linux and Windows still to come.

Heads up....you're on your own on this one :-)))

Here's the changelog for those who are interested:

This particular item is of major interest to me:

initial support for running on Raspberry Pi

Does anyone here have a Raspberry Pi and a Phidget who can test this out???  :)

I have a pi2b but at the moment no Huky.  I do have a TC4 though.

I don't see how to install artisan on Rasbian Jessie.  Do you have a link by chance?

I think you just download the rpm here:

https://github.com/artisan-roaster-scope/artisan/releases/tag/v0.9.8

I have an original Pi somewhere in one of the boxes in my garage. It will be a little while before I can test it, but if no one else has a chance to test it with the phidget immediately, I'll be sure to try it in a few weeks or so.

What USB thermocouple sensor do you have?

Good that you can try Artisan with the Raspberry I think that Marko can support the installation and test.

I just ordered the Pi 2, so I'll let everyone know how it works out when I get a chance to try it out. I also picked up a Anker compact wireless keyboard to try and keep my roasting area relatively clutter free.

I have a Raspberry Pi 2, and tried to install Artisan. There is no ARM image that I could find.  I wonder if I need to get the source code and compile it myself.  I asked on the HB thread and will wait for a reply.

Here is what Marko said:

You will have to install Artisan from its source for now as I did not find time to build a package. I will first have to learn how to do this. In the meantime I plan to publish some instructions on how to install the necessary packages and run Artisan from source. However, I was traveling last week and will traveling next week. As soon I will have time I will publish a link to this documentation on the forum.

Awesome. I wonder if the phidget thermocouple will "just work" once the software is compiled, or if that will be another roadblock in getting the software completely working.

Here are some decent how-to instructions to compile & install software from source code:

http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2012/06/install-from-source/

Edit: It looks like there might not be a configuration script in the Artisan source code. We may have to wait for Marko's next update.

Hey everyone, I'm somewhat new here (just got my Huky a couple of weeks ago) and really wanted to have a roaster setup where I didn't need to leave a full-size computer out in the garage where I roast. I decided on the Raspberry Pi 2 and am using the official 7" touch screen to interface with it. After getting everything set up, I realized that Artisan didn't have a package for Raspberry Pi. I re-read Marko's message and decided to go ahead and run it from source so that I can run Artisan on the Pi. The screenshot of it running on my Pi is attached. I'm also going to attach a PDF walkthrough later today on how to get to this point.

Caveat: The software is running, but I haven't tested it with my Phidget 1048 yet since I'm still at school. I'll be home later today and will test its ability to log temperatures properly.

Excellent.
We can put that PDF file into the downloads section of the forum.

Looking forward to seeing that pdf.  I never got mine running from source.
