I recently got the T conversion kit and got to know the three very tiny screws that connects the exhaust pipes. I had plans on replacing them with something like those thumb-screws that are used e.g. On the back of a computer chassis. Then they would not be lost if they drop off the connection while roasting. I'd really hate to have one of these tiny screws get into an expensive espresso grinder. This collar is certainly a much better solution.
So, a mail to Mr. Li is coming up. (Last time I also forgot to order an extra set of ball bearings which may not be needed, but if something happens...)
Now, dare I roast even lighter?

I make sure that I close the damper right before I charge.  It just appeared to me that charging with the damper open could lead to beans bouncing into the pipe.  Once I've finished charging I open it right back up.

I charge with the damper closed and fan off.  I hardly go to full fan but I have major bean sticking issues.  Frustrating for sure.

I roast outside when the weather is above 60F.  My idea in asking Mr Li to fashion a quick connect came up when realized I needed to come up with a rubber wheeled Huky cart to transport inside and outside.  Its a PITA to have to break down the Huky every few days as variable as the weather is here.

With the tiny connector screws the present connections make the Huky seem chintzy.  With the quick connect hope to be able to keep the exhaust assembled during moving.

And with a BBQ cover the whole thing can be stored by the grill on the back deck.  Aaah peace in the family!
Now to work on making the exhaust into the bowl more secure.   Hmmmm

Have you worked on building your rubber wheeled cart yet. I'm thinking that that is what I'm needing to do.  I would like to see yours to get ideas.

Jerry:

Not yet.  Just an idea with only a very rough sketch.  When I roast in the utility room and vent I use top of dryer for Huky with computer sitting on washer and cooling tray on a stool.  When outside, picnic table great for everything.

With this two-level cart only have to worry about huky, exhaust bowl and variac on top level.  The 20# gas container will be on first level of the cart.
Using standard wheel barrow (26" X 38") as a reference would have lots of room with a 26" X 32".
Want the two small rubber wheels tucked in to keep the 26" width.    Inside door is 32" and outside 36" so this will allow plenty of clearance.

Want to adhere to 6" height from floor for the first level since the gas container will make it too tipsy otherwise.  If wheels are 10" high will have to drop the first level 4" by building below wheel level.  Easy enough to do.  Don't need to provide for computer(Mac) nor cooling tray.
Would love to have a control board incorporated.

Any ideas appreciated

Just ordered a quick-connect as well from Mr. Li.
Looks like cleaning the Huky is much easier with this upgrade :)
