T-connection
« on: December 29, 2015, 02:20:15 AM »
Posted 25th Dec from Taiwan, on the doorsteps in Australia 4 days later a brand new Huky 500T.

Seems like I've got a new design in the joint of the T with the Huky, haven't seen it before anywhere or on this forum. The T pipe that directly connects with the Huky has 3 holes for tiny screws, but not sure what those are for since the pipe on the Huky has no corresponding holes to connect with. The welding marks on the end of input/output pipe is a bit odd imo, but the wife actually likes that (as a mark of manual craftsmanship), so okay :-)

Too late today to give it its first run, will post later

The 3 tiny screw holes were on earlier versions of the Huky T.  They connected directly to the pipe that came out of the front of the Huky.  There were no corresponding holes.  They just screwed in holding directly onto the pipe.  As for the welded piece you mention, that is the new quick connector mentioned here:  https://www.hukyforum.com/index.php/topic,667.0.html

Mercuryrev:

Looks like the quick connect coupler on your new T-pipe slips inside the front plate elbow?. This is different from the pictures of the coupler that people are receiving to retrofit their existing Hukys, which go over the elbow. I'm wondering if Mr. Li is still adjusting the coupler design?.

Anybody else who received their HUKY 500T lately get the new quick connect coupler? Could you verify which type.

The new Huky's have the coupler welded inside the pipe coming out of the face plate.  The add-on couplers fit over the pipe.
