I am looking at different options for roasting carts while my Huky is on it's way. I was hoping someone could give me the dimensions for a 500T "footprint" both with and without a second cooling tray in front. By footprint I mean the dimensions of the smallest rectangular platform that would hold both the roaster on the stove and the exhaust bowl/fan connected with the T pipe. Hopefully that makes sense.

When it comes to "footprint" as the area which touches the tabletop it's 25x26cm (10" x 10.5") which is the size of the chaff tray that sits under the burner. But the burner is larger, the gas connection takes up a couple of inches on the back of the roaster and the gas gague sticks out about three inches to the left of the roaster. Both the connection and the gague is about an inch above the tabletop.
You don't mention the exhaust, but you'd typically need some 9" for the standard "dog bowl" exhaust (to the right of the roaster) and finally some 9" for the cooling fan/tray.
To complete the measurements, the motor for the roaster drum sticks out some 6.5" at the back, but it's about 8" above the tabletop.

This thread should help you get an idea:

Thank you edtbjon and SusanJoM! That answers my question about the size of the stove. I think I should have plenty of room to the side for the exhaust hood/fan. I'm not quite clear on how far away from the base of the burner the exhaust hood has to be to be connected to the roaster with the T pipe. I'm looking at a cart that has a 30"w x 16"d top tray and it sounds like the burner/ roaster with the exhaust hood attached should fit. Here's a link to the cart. Any input is appreciated. 😀

I've seen a few setups with something similar. But I don't recall any handles being on there. There might be a picture or two on this forum showing those carts.

I am currently building a cart from spare lumber. I want room for the Huky, exhaust and cooling fans, and a laptop. The approximate size of the top of the cart is 4 feet long and 2 feet wide. I could have made it 3 feet long but wouldn't want it any smaller than that. I would suggest you lay out our Huky and think about your workflow and let that guide your decision on how much space you need.

I think that tray top will be in your way. You won't be able to get your hand to the needle valve for adjustments; (you really want a flat surface to work on.) And you don't need a drawer right in front of where you will be standing or sitting. Keep looking.... ;)

Thanks SusanJoM! I ended up getting a larger cart with a flat surface. Unfortunately, I purchased a Huky from a member here that decided to ship it by putting everything in a small box with almost no padding so it arrived broken and unusable.

Gee, that's a bummer; is the machine and parts beyond repair?
-
Most of the parts are but I think the roaster itself may be salvageable.
-
Did they ship with insurance?
-
The seller did insure it so it all worked out.
