Title: Hello from Tucson
Post by: JDP on July 17, 2017, 12:34:37 PM
Hello,

I'm contemplating purchasing a Huky to learn roasting with a goal of eventually roasting commercially and to roast for my mobile coffee cart. I'm impressed with the helpful community surrounding the Huky and is one of it's greatest benefits. I'm interested in purchasing a pre-owned unit so if you are interested in selling please don't hesitate to reach out.

Welcome!
Used is a good way to go, however I wouldn't hesitate to jump into a 1K or larger and skip the Huky, since you indicated going commercial is the end goal.

For affordability and learning the Huky can't be beat. However I don't agree with the notion one has to start small and work up in roaster sizing.

Thank you! I am still considering a small commercial roaster as well. A larger roaster would take longer to out grow but if my concept proves to be successful, I would still out grow it quickly. I also like the portability of the Huky. I'm leaning towards the Huky but if I can find a small used commercial roaster I may go that route.
