Setting up the buttons
« on: April 17, 2016, 09:50:37 PM »
Hey all, Trying to set up my buttons for my graphing of my power and fan but cant figure out how to get the buttons to show up. looked through some old posts but didn't see specifics. I get one button for fan and one for power. I am wanting to make it so that with each power change and with each fan change i can click a button to correlate those changes. Any suggestions. When I was watching rodraguirre recent video he was able to make it look so seamless...some day...some day.
Help!

Well...there used to be a post here with recommended settings that could be used as a starting point to import into artisan.  It appears as though they have been purposefully removed because I'll be darned if I can find them.

I'll try to help you out.  I grabbed someones original settings that were uploaded to the site, so there might have been other settings changed that I'm not aware of.

As far as buttons.  Open the "Config"  Drop down Menu --> "Buttons" - They should now appear.  They should also appear when you hit "start"

To create new buttons "Config" --> "Events" --> Buttons

In the pop up "Events" settings, the first tab "config".. along the top, I have "buttons" "annotations" and "events" checked  and "bars" set to value

the "bars" value will display essentially a line graph that connects the points to each change
the "bars" type I believe puts a little indicator on the beam temp line with the title of the button

Hope this helps.  If you want I can share my settings as I have all power and fan settings already created.

Thanks Crzyworm623- was just about to "attempt" to describe the same thing  ;D
I'll upload a button palatte for testing- it should be importable via Configure>>Events>>Palettes>>Load. Those buttons were made quite a while ago so they may need some fine-tuning to fit your preferences.
