Hi there, I am currently the Head Roaster at Toby's Estate in Sydney, Australia & am looking in to purchasing the Huky 500 T for personal use in a home environment. Have emailed Kuanho & have already had a reply so off to a good start.
I shall be relying on you all for many & varied questions I am sure.
Cheers,
Regan Hawea.

Hi and welcome.  What do you roast on at Toby's Estate?  Maybe we can learn something from you.

Hey there

thanks for the welcome Gregr & thusband & from the reading I have been doing here it appears you are all well in control. Currently at Toby's here in Sydney we are using a Brambati KS120 & a 15kg, a newly commissioned Probat Probatone 5kg & a double barrelled Probat sample roaster, weekly roasted bean output of 16-19 tonne excluding our single origin espresso & filter offers.

I have just this week handed in my resignation as my wife & I will be returning to New Zealand early September to raise our first born child & I am wanting to spend time at home roasting coffee, alongside listening to LP's. The Mill City Roasters 500g caught my eye but that extra price affords a lot of diapers. For home purposes we drink strictly filter (Chemex, V60, Kalita Wave, Swiss Gold, Aeropress) as I am happy to head out for espresso.

I look forward to receiving my Huky 500 T & manufacture time from Kuanho Li was 10-14 days, unsure how long it will take to clear customs this end? I purchased the Phidget 1048 & acrylic enclosure from a Taiwan based company (IDM Store $208 AUD incl shipping) as the US manufacturer were out of stock for the enclosure. Local based store Jaycar have the Variac (0-260 VAC) in stock at $240 AUD so will be ready to put flame to drum fairly promptly. With no longer being employed my access to green bean will be an issue but there are a few good people doing great things in NZ, Red Rabbit, Flight, Peoples Coffee & the old boys Supreme are all doing great work.

Thanks for reading & hope all is well your way.
Regan.
