Various operational issues...
« on: March 06, 2017, 09:00:40 AM »
A gripe, really...

To avoid (some) beans getting sucked into the horizontal T-pipe (you know, that old Huky complaint some have), I use a steel "shoe-spoon" to block that horizontal entrance.  It works pretty well, except the "entry gate" down into the Huky's belly is now somewhat restricted, and sometimes there's a "traffic jam" of beans waiting to fall into the roaster, and "dropping the beans" may take upto 30 seconds of wiggling and fiddling.

By the time I've pressed the (Artisan) "drop" mouse button", some time has elapsed, and the "drop temperature" is registered as rather lower than the actual drop temperature.

How do you guys do it?  Push the "drop" button on the mouse first?

You can move that DROP marker to wherever you want it after you have finished.

If memory serves me (and that isn't always the case), you can right click on a place on the BT line and an option will pop up for the EVENT that you want to place there.  DROP is one of them....Let me know if that does or doesn't solve your issue....

I've been using the auto charge feature for some time now. Pour the beans in and when the temperature dives the charge is marked.  Auto drop doesn't seem to work well for me.

Agreed.
Marko and I discussed this last year, and it is because the algorithm for "DROP" depends on the temperature doing something which it does not do on our HUKYs.  It zigs when Artisan thinks a zag means the beans have been dropped.... :P

So, like you, I let Artisan indicate CHARGE and I manually mark DROP.
