Propane Stove not working
« on: July 20, 2017, 02:09:17 PM »
so i just got my Huky and am trying to get the stove stove going. Connect the propane tank to the regulator and turn on tank. I dont see the needle change any on the gauge. When I turn the blue valve to open no propane is coming out. This is a recently filled propane take so no issues on the supply side. Any thing I'm missing?

There have been a fair number of posts in the past from people who have had trouble getting the propane to flow, so a search or two may get you the answer.   Someone who remembers will probably chime in before that, but if you are impatient, try that route.

More importantly I suggest that you upgrade your connections to something much sturdier than those flimsy clips.  They are not really up to the job of containing propane.  There have been some nasty near misses in the recent past, so a search also for better connectors would be a good idea.

Push that brass button (check valve) down on your green regulator, then slowly open the needle valve.

what the issue ended up being is the regulator has to be screwed about 3 times more that you'd think to make good connection to the tank. its the old type of regulator that has a male connector. I'll probably end up getting a better regulator and higher quality hose and connectors.
