Help: ET, BT, reading -1 temp in Artisan
« on: July 09, 2017, 02:06:11 PM »
good afternoon,

Artisan software will not read ET & BT temp; however, the phidget control panel does. I’ve read several postings to uninstall the phidget /then re-install as well as the artisan software- still not reading. Checked the wires to ensure they are correctly installed on the phidget board- good. Any other suggestions? Of if addl photos needed, please advise.

thanks,

Susan posted this. Could this be the issue?

If you are just now installing a Phidget to use with Artisan, you will find that the most current library (v22) is not going to work for you.  You will have to go and find and download the previous library (v21).  This is gonna trip a lot of people up, but as far as I can tell, the old library is available here:

What WayneG1 said plus that if you've run the Phidget app to check that it's working you should close that app before running Artisan. The Phidget can only server one master and if you try to have it serve both the app and Artisan, Artisan will loose.
Now, dare I roast even lighter?

Hello tlopez.
Thank you for that posts .
While reading the SNAFU topic, I was always wondering how to see the installed software version.
Now I know that it is via the phidget control panel  :)

This should be a sticky until Phidget gets the issue resolved.

I don't think this is something Phidgets is going to be addressing.
I get they have moved on to a new generation and will support the old technology only as required.
I suspect it is up to software developers to re-write/accommodate the changes as they see fit/can.
