My Huky just arrived when I was back visiting family in the States over the holidays.  I am working over in Ireland for the next couple of years and so ordered a Huky spec'd for the US and will use over here.  Electricity wise I don't have a problem.  My issue is that I have the green stock propane gas regulator.  It is designed to work with a standard US propane cylinder.  Over here in Ireland they use a different type of connection.  Was curious if someone had a solution.  An adapter or should I just get a regulator that works with the cylinders over here.  The problem is that I don't know what type to get that will be equal to the stock green one as I understand it works rather well.  Any advice would be helpful.  Cheers!

Aren't the Europe/UK propane at a different pressure? I can't find where I remember that from. You might be better off just buying a new regulator.

Thanks for the info.  I will just get a new regulator. I have two choices.  I am unsure if the cheaper one can provide the throughput.  They are:

I used a 30 mBar regulator for a year. Changed it recently to a adjustable one, but found myself only using it at around 50 mBar maximum. You can be confident in that the low pressure regulator is enough. 30 mBar is indeed enough for a full 500g charge of green beans. The extra 25% that you'll have with the 37 mBar doesn't make that much difference, but may give you a bit more flexibility in the beginning of the roast. I found that I could indeed race through the roast in under 10 min. total with the 30mBar regulator and a full 500g load.
A bit more about pushing a lot of gas through the burner... For starters, you need the most heat from the burner in the beginning of the roast, i.e. during the "drying phase". During this phase most roasters using a drum roaster seem to prefer to have a minimal airflow (or even no airflow) through the system. The IR burner doesn't seem to put out much more heat even if you crank up the gas pressure with a low airflow setting. Once you apply some airflow to the roast, the burner becomes more effective. But you typically don't rise the airflow until you're at the end of the drying phase, at which time you also (typically) have to take down the heat anyhow.
Now, dare I roast even lighter?

Get the low pressure one or you will damage the needle valve.
It can take 5 kPa max (50 millibar).

Thanks for all the advice.  I ended up going with this one.
