Looks like the plastic enclosure (which is still available) is no longer the only way to protect the Phidget.  At least this one won't be a challenge to precede the challenges.....

And, yes, another Phidget to go with my soon to arrive solid drum/fast motor HUKY

Two options now for covers.  More options is usually a good thing. (To a point. All the brand options at the grocery store can get confusing  ) That cover does have a cleaner look.  I like both.
 You've used the perforated drum for a long time, haven't you?  I'd be interested in hearing about your experience switching over if you want to post them.  If, once you get used to the solid drum,  you're noticing anything different in the cup. Perhaps how much you have to change things up to get a similar profile
