Last night was a huge success. Rodraguirre, Venerablemonster, and I met up with AJ at The Conservatory and spent a few hours chatting about roasting, brewing, topics outside the walls of this forum, and did some cupping. I learned a whole lot and had a wonderful time.

AJ is eager to have us back for another meetup, so I'll probably try and schedule something again in the not too distant future.

We were pretty bad about taking pictures and remembered at the end that we needed to take a few. Here's a few though:

I snagged a couple pics during the cupping. Nothing too exciting, I'm afraid.





You can see in the second picture our grounds from the agtron read. While it was all very much the same bean, I was impressed with the variety of results we pulled in our roasts.

Thanks Dave for putting this together.  I am really proud that the HUKY forum has generated this kind of community between its members.   Looking at the Member Map it seems as if there might be potential for more of these get-togethers in a few other areas of this country at least....:-)))

Rodraguirre, I used to live in the backhouse of the house (white one) just north of the church by Lavender and Honey and skated at their lot when it was still the old furniture/antiques shop (or whatever it was).

That coffee shop really changed the dynamic of that whole plaza.

Hey Turboner welcome aboard

I actually go almost every Friday morning to Lavender & Honey with my wife - not so much for the coffee, but the location is very convenient for us and we love their Lavender & Honey toast. Sometimes I get lucky and there's an OK barista there that can pull a OK espresso.
