Gas Pressure Artisan Log
« on: February 03, 2016, 12:47:07 PM »
Hey guys,

Is anyone else out there having the same thought as me? ...

"Hmmm... Why am I clicking buttons in artisan to log my gas pressure... couldn't I just get a pressure sensor from phidgets inc. and just hook it up after the needle valve in the gas line and have artisan just log it?"

Anyone else out there have this thought?

Actually I believe I have the parts necessary for the project.  Check in the buy-sell board.  I think my listing is still there.

I found your post Susan. It is in the for sale posts. Unfortunately the sensor only reads +-2 kpa. I need the next one up that would read up to 5 kpa.

I did see the photos there were in a link on Facebook. So I know it's possible. Now I just need to find someone with the knowledge that would help guide me into how to set it up in artisan! :D

Ah, I  was under the impression that that +-2 kPa was its accuracy....mea culpa.

Marko Luther?  Marko Luther is the creator of Artisan.  He is also the creator of the Tonino.

Curtis you cannot use those sensors for volatile or combustible gases. I hope I caught you before you placed an order.

Oh shoot. You definitely caught me before I placed my order. But that takes me back to the drawing board... Surly there is a way to do what I'm talking about!?

And I apologize if I added to your confusion.  I purchased the parts to test air flow not gas.

Did you ever figure out a way to log gas pressure to artisan?
