Hello all,

Can someone please tell me what to change to get smooth curve lines?

Check in the Extras > Graph Settings and see what it looks like.
Here's what mine looks like:

You are welcome.

Now you can show me how you get those values for the power and fan settings (P40, P60, F25).

That is so much more useful than just a line going up and a line going down and a diamond or ????

Wow that is crazy!

I haven't got that far into things yet but I'll consult this thread if my first roast looks like a failed polygraph like that.   ???

Thanks.
More questions:

What version of Artisan are you using?
I don't seem to get those up down arrows at the end of each button.
There is likely another setting somewhere that I am missing.

I am running it on a Mac. Not sure if it makes difference.

Maybe.  I am on Windows.
And also using 9.2

It's not a big deal, mostly I'm just curious and I figure the more stuff we flash up here the more people will find answers to questions they don't need to ask :-))))

Here's how I have my buttons set up now.  I think it covers all the settings I am currently using for Gas and Fan.

Nifty. I set up a slider.

Nifty. I set up a slider.

I tried the sliders, but I'm a bit too fumble fingered for it.
It's a good idea, but I'm having a hard enough time remembering to push a button.
Many a time I've pushed the button and forgotten to change the gas or fan or vice versa.

I'm considering just having my plan on paper in front of me and leaving the button pushing off altogether....at least until I get more confident.

Thank you Susan, now I have set up buttons for fast power/fan inputs, and learned to smooth the curves for better presentation.   :)

Susan, I also write out my general roast plan before I start.  I got a dry erase board from the Dollar Store and use that (though I don't put as much detail as you have).

I had a similar experience with the sliders as you - a bit too finicky.  So I set up buttons as well.

Mine has gotten more detailed each time I have started a roast and forgotten something.

It started out much simpler, but I kept forgetting a button push or a start or a stop, so I'm trying to slow myself down and follow my own directions.

You know that old saying:  "Do as I say not as I do" ???  :-)))
