I wonder why the price difference in BT and MET thermocouple?

Read the list again. There's no difference between the BT and the MET. The $2 difference for the ET is (probably) due to a brass adapter included. (If anyone is already having a thermocouple in the ET position, that adapter is already there and isn't needed. That $20 ET TC is for replacing the analogue ET thermometer.)
Now, dare I roast even lighter?

I mis-spoke.  I meant to say ET and MET.  Your explanation makes sense.  I forgot about the adapter on replacement.

It's overkill, but for $98, I'm really not losing much!
