Purchasing Sieve in the U.S.
« on: July 23, 2017, 08:03:18 PM »
Hey all!

I recently purchased a used T, which only came with one sieve. I'm hoping to buy another sieve somewhere in the U.S. (or online), to avoid the steep shipping costs and leadtime with Mr. Li.

After running around a few local hardware and kitchenware stores, I don't seem to have much luck. Would anyone happen to know where we can buy a new sieve aside from Mr. Li? Or, do you think Mr. Li is going to be the best resource? I checked the spare-parts PDF in the downloads section, but there doesn't seem to be any information on this particular part, unfortunately.

Thanks!

I guess it's a matter of finding the correct search word(s) on Google/Amazon. I'd try to look it up on e.g. AliExpress to possibly find that sieve and then move on to the US based shops.
As the label is all in Chinese, you can try taking it to a Chinese appliance shop and possibly have them translate it for you. I'd guess that it's intended for either baking (sieving the flour) or steaming.
Now, dare I roast even lighter?

I've made additional purchases from Mr. Li and although shipping can be a bit high, I found Mr. Li very accommodating and quick to respond. Last shipment was estimated at 3 weeks and came in around 10 days.  I would send him an email first and get a quote on what you need. Cheers.  :)

For the exhaust sieve it doesn't really matter if it's too big. (The original sieve is just a tad under 8") Just see to that you have some pressure from the exhaust pipe on the upward-down funnel so that you don't suck air in from the side. ... and yes, jasonclick, that is definitely the correct amazon department. :)
