Green Gasket on Gas Regulator and Scews and Cable Ties
« on: July 17, 2015, 10:12:33 AM »
I guess the four screws are to fasten the two fans (two screws per assembly)?  The stand on the left seems a bit wobbly.  Is it assembled differently?  Also what are the two tie wraps for?

I've read about the removal of the regulator green gasket before hooking to the tank.  I don't see one on my setup.  Am I missing something?  I am red/green colorblind so maybe it's there.

Thanks

I just took the little rubber gasket/washer off of the end of that green regulator and then it fit my bbq tank hose.

Oh, you mean that black gasket?  For some reason I was looking for something green.

Thanks!

Yes, the black washer on the far right hand side of your picture of the green regulator. I can't post pics because all my pics are too large.

Thanks, got it.  Earlier I removed it and got it all set up easily.  Just need to finish setting up my Phidget.  I'm out tomorrow but Sunday I'll roast.  Think I'll do a few drum seasons first.

I found the metal stands to be a bit wobbly too. I haven't had the energy/time to find a more stable solution as of yet, but I will.

The cable ties look a little hokey, so i need to find something more elegant. I'm envisioning some cable wrap running into a switchboard to control the fans.
