I'm new to coffee roasting. I have done several roasts from a whirley pop corn popper with thermometer but fell in love with the Huky 500 when I read about it. I just received mine after I came across a used one for sale on Ebay.
This is a great forum for learning and support!
Having read many posts from this forum I have bought a Variac for controlling ventilation and have ordered a spare fan, funnel, exhaust hood, and a couple thermocouples (for ET and MET). I will eventually connect to a computer and haven't decided on a phidget or Center 304.
Being an engineer, I must learn all I can before buying and I'm very happy with this roaster, the people, the forum, and response I got from Mr. Li in ordering spare parts.
Can't wait to get on with more roasting!
