Huky Roasted Coffee to Share
« on: August 19, 2015, 10:07:46 AM »
Hello Everyone-

If anyone's interested, I would be happy to trade samples.  Single-origins, blends, anything you're happy with and that you roasted with your Huky.

From there if you want to exchange "recipes", that might be cool too.  Basically I am trying to taste your delicious coffee prior to digging into profiles or even knowing in advance which drum you are using.

I'm happy to send out 4oz or 8oz samples in exchange for the same.

PM me if interested.

-Jason

Sorry, Jason. What would appear as some people "taking your idea and running with it", this topic came up in another thread (plenty of tangents around here...) and Susan created this for all of us: https://www.hukyforum.com/index.php/topic,494.msg5036/topicseen.html#new

No hard feelings, I hope and looking forward to you participating.

thusband sorry I thought I replied to a different thread. It was back when you got your Lido 3 Grinder and you started with a grind setting of 12 but ended up with a grind setting of 13 I was just wondering if this would be a good starting point for me and apologies if this is off topic.

Maybe the mods will want to move this to the off topic forum.

I'm usually around 9 or 10 for Aeropress, 12 or 13 for pour over and 2 1/2 or 3 for espresso.  The espresso grind can get a little tough to turn especially with lighter roasted beans.  I'll also spritz a little water on the beans before I dump them in the Lido 3.  It really cuts down the static so there's very little residue.
