Did you try the selection that simcw76 posted just a few items above yours?
Yes, several times.

The fact that I get "--" in the display seems to suggest something is registering.  I can't see anyone with the same problem on the artisan forums.  I guess I'll try older versions, looking at logs, serial monitors etc.

Bummer.
Maybe go over to H-B and post your issue/question.
Marko checks in there really regularly and seems to solve most of these issues very fast when asked directly.

And I hope these two cents are worth more than the last two :-((

One thing to try if you haven't already is to connect your MET TC into the plug on the meter for BT or ET just to verify the problem is not in the probe itself.  Similarly have the 3 channel read the BT or ET and see if that works.

I have been having the same issue - can't get the third probe to function at all.  Same as described above - just a -- reading in the LCD on Artisan.  I have tried swapping probes and all is functional on the Center 304 - no mechanical issue.  Just can't get the darn thing to read.....

I'm tearing my hair out trying to get my 3rd (MET) probe showing in Artisan 0.9.2 (Mac and PC).  I have a Center 304.  BT and ET are flawless.

I have tried the Voltcraft and Center 309 *_34 extra devices, in addition to a 304 and 309.

I get a "--" value in the Artisan 'LCD' textbox.

Of course, the 304 shows the correct value.  Before I start looking for logs, posting to Artisan forums etc... Anyone seen/solved this?

Mine behaves oddly. It DOESN'T show on the LCD text box on the right... but if you start the log and watch the lines plot, the live graph plots MET just fine.  I just can't see the value on the right side of the screen on the LCD.

That's it! Just roasted with it charting nicely. Clearly a bug, but I can happily track via the temp meter.

Thanks

My results with the Center 304 are the same.  I set the Extra Device to Center 309_34 and set my line color and label.  The LCD in Artisan does not read, but the MET line plots.  It's a minor inconvenience but it's working for me right now.  I still have the readout on the Center to see the MET real time.
