Huky Unboxing Part 1
« on: February 02, 2015, 08:22:11 PM »
In the spirit of capturing as much information about the Huky as possible, I thought I would share some photos of my Huky unboxing a few weeks ago. This will be broken in to a few posts.

These photos show the outer box, the packing list on top of one of the inner boxes, and the two inner boxes.

Here is a picture of the fan(with vet bowl), two screens, and two funnels I ordered. (Please note that I thought I was ordering two fans when I ordered the exhaust bowl, but the exhaust bowl is just the optional metal vent bowl mounted on the bottom of the fan.)

There is also a picture of the optional vent bowl mounted to the bottom of the fan. The vent hole is 2.5" which is not a standard air vent size in the US. However several people are using a 2.5" metal auto exhaust pipe.

There is a picture of the propane IR stove and regulator I ordered along with the spare parts and tool bag. The included plastic hose is also shown. Most people are changing out this hose for a more reliable leak-proof propane connection. I love this stove. The ceramic surface really spreads the heat.

The last picture is of the tools and extra parts that come with the Huky. You can see the two hose clamps used to attach the included gas hose.

These are pictures of the front and back of the Huky after unpacking but still with the protective plastic attached. You can see that I have all three thermocouples (BT, ET, and MT). These come with the standard K-type connectors. I had to remove the connectors to attach the bare wires to my Phidget 1048 directly.

I will post more pictures of my installation and Phidget set-up later.

It really is a piece of fine workmanship.

Enjoy.

It makes sense because we only need the base unit.  ;D
